STEP 1

Sketch the plan for the piece. 

My first step begins by using pencil to make a sketch of my piece. Often times this may be a very rough sketch, or other times it can be very detailed ultimately making it easier for me to complete the piece.

STEP 3

Start detailing.

Once I have used marker to complete the main aspects of the drawing, I will then use coloured pencil crayons. Typically the colour I choose is similar but darker than the marker it is detailing.

STEP 2

Draw the main details.

Next, I begin to decide the colours of the piece I am working on. This typically includes using vibrant markers as the base. I believe an undertone of markers makes the image look more vibrant.

STEP 4

Ensure the paper is covered.

Finally I will add the final touches, ensuring that the entirety of the paper is filled with colour. Often this includes working on the most detailed aspects of a piece.
